A Quick Way to Convert Decimal To Fraction

Decimal numbers are important in our daily computing life. It is the number where we could be able to make computation easier. That is because the calculator, which we are using nowadays, is based in decimal numbers. At the same time, it is also easier to calculate with decimals in the computer as the digital version is only composed of decimals and not of fractions. All you have to do is to put 10 as their denominator and just copy the number as the numerator. In this way, you can easily represent the following: 1/10, 3/10, 7/10, and 9/10 in its simplest form.

The next thing is the one represented by 5 as denominator. It is very easy to determine. All you have to do is to put 5 as denominators for all even numbers. In this way, numbers like 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, and 0.8 have 5 as its numerator. Then, you have to divide by two the figure of the integer figure of the decimal and you can determine the numerator already.

Example:

When you have 0.2, the first rule of this is that the denominator is 5. So it is represented as /5. Then, we can determine the numerator by dividing the integer on the decimal place by 2 so we have 2 divided by 2 and thus the quotient is 1. In this way, we now have 1/5 as the simplest form of the fraction.

We can also do the same with 0.4, which we can quickly tell us 2/5, 0.6 as 3/5 and lastly 0.8 as 4/5. In this way, you will easily get the patterns, which you can use for your quick math computation on higher numbers aside from the ones you have right now.
